TRANSMISSIONS
Vehicle owner manuals recommend that you change your transmission fluid. The time period can vary from 30,000 miles to 100,000 miles depending on the manufacturer. Changing the transmission fluid is a preventive maintenance procedure that can save you lots of dollars in unnecessary and costly repairs.
The machine that we use to change the automatic transmission fluid works with your car's internal transmission pump to exchange the fluid. As the old fluid is removed from one side of the transmission, new fluid is pumped in the other side. This process also provides a flushing action which helps to clean any debris from the transmission.
We use Pennzoil brand transmission fluid in most instances; however, we also use synthetic fluid when required for certain vehicles.
Flushing the transmission fluid usually takes about an hour and flushing and changing the filter take about an hour and a half or two hours. We recommend that you make an appointment.
